Terms and Conditions
 

All guests should satisfy themselves with the terms and conditions detailed below. Please do not hesitate to contact us (see contact details) if you would like to discuss any of the statements below or require further information.

We are looking forward to having you as our guests, and we want you to enjoy your stay with us. That’s why we ask all our guests to pay particular attention to our Terms and Conditions, so that we can help to ensure that everyone’s experience is a positive one. It’s all about making unforgettable memories of your vacation at Alegria – so that you’ll come back and see us again!

We reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions as appropriate, without detriment to guests statutory rights. 

For the sake of clarity your host, the property the workshops and facilities are defined as Alegria and the Client is the person signing the booking form. The person signing the booking form is deemed to be the party leader and is responsible for all members of his/her party adhering to these terms and conditions.

We attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, we cannot warrant that product descriptions or other content of this site is 100% accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. Occasionally, for reasons beyond our control, pricing inaccuracies or other errors may be generated. We have taken reasonable steps to ensure the information provided by us on this Web site is accurate at the time you view it. However, we cannot and have not checked the accuracy of all information provided by outside sources or by the providers of other information, e.g. currency conversion rates, or of other parties linked to or from the Web site. All such information is provided in good faith and we exclude liability for any errors, omissions or misleading information (unless made recklessly or fraudulently) to the maximum extent permitted by law, together with all implied warranties in connection with such information. We endeavour to provide accurate and updated translations in our site. In case of discrepancy the English version will be the definitive.

The Client is strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation cover) and to have full cover for the Client's personal belongings, public liability etc., as these are not covered by the owner's insurance. We therefore cannot accept responsibility for loss of guests’ property. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage of property or vehicles in the car park.

To make a booking, the Client should

  • fill in the online booking form and pay the 300€ deposit online or
  • print, complete and sign the booking form and return it together with payment of the initial deposit of 300€.

Following receipt of the booking form and the deposit the owner will send confirmation of the booking and an information pack by e-mail. We have a wide range of options available for you to make payments. Whilst we are of the opinion that the safest possible method of payment is through Paypal, we do of course understand that not everyone uses credit cards and that you may prefer to pay in a manner more comfortable to yourself. When you make a reservation on-line, all of the information you transmit to us from our on-line reservation page is encrypted. This is safe data transfer and you can rest assured that absolutely no-one will be able to access your personal details. The deposit can be paid with a sterling cheque, a Euro cheque or directly on-line by credit card via the secure server Pay Pal. You can also arrange with your bank to transfer the payment from your account into ours. Our bank details will be given to you on receipt of your reservation request. Once we receive your statement or proof of transfer, we go ahead and make your reservation for you. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, please inform us so that we can send you our bank details via e-mail. Any chargeable expenses arising during the rental period, must be settled locally, with the owners, in Euro, before departure.

The balance due, is payable not less than three weeks prior to the start of the rental period. If payment is not received by the due date, the owners reserve the right to give notice, in writing by e-mail, that the reservation is cancelled. Reservations made within three weeks of the start of the rental period must be paid for in full at the time of booking. Once again, the balance can be paid by sterling cheque, Euro cheque or on-line by credit card – or by bank transfer.  

To make a reservation with us, we will require some information about you to deal with your booking as smoothly as possible. This information may include such details as your name, your address and your e-mail address. We do not pass on your information to third parties.All personal information is stored in secure databases within a secure environment to prevent unauthorised access.

Notification of cancellation must be by e-mail or by telephone in the first instance and then confirmed in writing by recorded delivery. Our cancellation policies are just a guideline since we do our best to give a credit towards future stays and we review each case on its merits.More about cancellations on the Reservations page. If we do not receive payment according to these Booking Conditions we will acknowledge this as a cancellation on your behalf.

All accommodation is offered subject to availability at the time of receipt of the deposit, and at the quoted tariffs. The maximum number of clients per room is 2. Please note that because of the horses, the property are not suitable for small children and that the minimum age for attending the workshops is 12 years.

Check-in times for guests from 8.00am on the first day of the workshop/ the day of arrival unless agreed by prior arrangement. Rooms must be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure.The owners shall not be obliged to offer the accommodation before the time stated and the Client shall not be entitled to remain in occupation after the time stated. Breakfast is between 0900 hrs – 0930 hrs and no allowances can be made for meals not taken.

Alegria will not be liable to the Client for: any temporary defect or stoppage of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the property, garden or swimming pool. For any loss, damage or injury suffered which is the result of adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the owners. For any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the Client if the property should be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period and in any such event, the owners shall, within seven days of notification to the Client, refund to the Client, all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period. The client participates in activities and uses the equipment entirely at his or her own risk. The Client agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to those resident at the property. Alegria reserve the right to amend, curtail or terminate any contract should the conduct of any person who is a part to that contract cause any detriment to the property or to the well being or comfort of other guests.

The Client agrees to abide by the rules governing the use of the owner's swimming pool. The swimming pool is generally open for use between May and October depending on the weather. The pool may have to be closed should emergency repair work be required. Use of the accommodation, equipment, swimming pool and any other amenities on site is entirely at the hirer's risk and no responsibility can be accepted for any loss, injury, death or damage to the user while staying on site. Alegria reserve the right to withdraw access to the facility following any misuse without compensation.

We provide gym equipment for your use. However, Alegria is not a fitness club and we do not provide fitness assessments for our clients or train them in the use of the gym equipment. If you regularly attend a gym club and are familiar with gym equipment, you should have no difficulties using the gym equipment in accordance with your normal training programme. If you are unfamiliar with gym equipment or do not regularly use gym equipment our staff will demonstrate simple operation of the gym equipment so that you are able to use the equipment during your visit as a ‘tester’ to see if you would like to join a gym club with similar equipment in the future.In all cases use of the gym equipment is entirely at your own risk.

If you have any special requirements that we should take into account when you visit us (for example Heart Conditions, High/Low Blood Pressure, Circulatory Disorders, Epilepsy, Arthritis/Rheumatism, Diabetes, Allergies or you are pregnant), you should seek the advice of your doctor prior to your visit that the proposed therapies are suitable for you and that you are able to use the facilities at Alegria. If you do not let us know of any special requirements at the time of booking we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fully accommodate you on your visit. If you have any concerns please check with Alegria and where appropriate your doctor. If any treatment is found unsuitable we will recommend an alternative where possible, subject to availability.

Please note that we operate a strict no smoking policy in the manor house and the appartment, and especially in the barns and stables, but that designated smoking areas are provided. It is against the Law to smoke in our establishment. Breach of this requirement will incur full cleaning costs of hard and soft furnishings in guest rooms. We reserve the right to request guests to vacate the premises for any continued or serious breach of this policy.

If you have a complaint, please inform us immediately. If you do not tell us about your complaint our ability to investigate it could be seriously hampered. Because of this, unless there is a valid reason why you did not tell us about your complaint, we will not consider ourselves liable for those complaints. Guests are requested to report all damages to fixtures and fittings to ensure repairs/replacement procedures are implemented immediately and to safeguard the property. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the smooth running of the establishment, ongoing maintenance, refurbishment or unforeseen circumstances may result in some of the facilities being withdrawn at short notice. All facilities are subject to availability

No items are to be removed from the owner's property, without the owners' prior permission. Under no circumstances shall Alegria' liability to the Client exceed the amount paid by the client. Overnight visitors are not permitted unless arranged previously with Alegria. Any visitors must leave the premises by 18h00.

This contract shall be governed by English law in every particular including formation and interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in the Unite Kingdom. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract, may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in the UK. If any provision of these terms and conditions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Acceptance of Terms & Conditions: Completing the booking form implies the knowledge and acceptance of these terms and conditions.
